pendulum with a face 2025

Super simple looping animation of a pendulum with a silly little face. Our first proper animation assignment in college, so it makes sense that it's simple. Made this using Procreate on iPads.

Spinning cat 2025

Made this in the same session and using the same tools/software as the pendulum. We were tasked with quickly designing a simple character that we could draw in many angles to form a spinning animation.

zip 2025

Made this on Photoshop using AnimeDessin2 plugin (at college ov cos there's no way I'm giving money I don't have to Adobe🤮) It's of a simple character, me, zipping up a jacket. They labeled this animation as 'Level 3' when giving us the lists of 4 levels with all the prompts we could choose from when animating.

I even made a coloured version since I had some extra time in that session. I think he looks good in pink（￣︶￣）↗　

flour sack and ball 2025

This was also from the list of prompts we were given. I made this on the iPad using procreate in just over an hour. It was super fun and I've been having a blast using procreate. I was thinking of naming this animation 'ball sack' but my lecturers said to 'be more professional', oh well.

The whole assignment was a mini-portfolio of animations with at least 3 animations from a big list of prompts ('sneezing', 'jumping over a hole', 'walk cycle',etc) At least one animation had to be traditionally made, which I did make and I'll post it here soon ヾ(＠⌒ー⌒＠)ノ

sneezing guy (trad.) 2025

Technically finished this on Tuesday but I couldn't turn it into a video until Thursday, today, cos I'm not in on Wednesday (weekend Wednesday woo) It's of a simple character sneezing, animated on A3 sheets of white paper with fine liner and a lightbox to light up the frames underneath, a bit like onion skin.

blowing balloon 2025

This was a quicker animation I did of a girl blowing up a balloon on Procreate. Since I didn't have much time to animate this, it still looks super rough and choppy and her head gets smaller in some frames. Overall, I think it's still cute for what it is, although much lower quality than my other works so far.      (*￣3￣)╭

Update 23/12/25: adding more animations made during the last few weeks of college before Christmas break

Deffo planned on uploading these sooner but I ended up being very busy the last 2 weeks of college this year and I forgot (ง •_•)ง soz. Anyways, here's the last two animations I've made this year, enjoy! (o゜▽゜)o☆

Run cycle 2025

Animating running is so much harder than I thought, this easily took the longest other than the final animation assignment. It's of a girl running across the screen. The animation is super unclean and kinda choppy, definitely lower quality than I could've done, and I was originally gonna make the girl turn and run the other way, but I was so over it by the time I was finished making this I cba. It's good enough, I think. (●'◡'●)

                                                    Techiya magical transformation 2025

Here it is, the moment we've all been waiting for: the final animation of the year. It's what I've been working on for the whole animation project. From idea drafts, character design iterations and intensive studying of other animated clips to a fully fleshed out animation clip with lore. The whole assignment was to make a 10-15 second animation themed around 'rebirth' and taking some level of inspiration from Adult Swim's iconic 'bumps'. 

My animation is of a magical girl transformation, with the design of the character, Techiya (TKEE-YA) being inspired by the pipevine swallowtail butterfly and it's caterpillar form. It's in a sort of cutesy anime style, since I thought it would tie in nicely with the Adult Swim thing since AS aired dubbed anime, and the transformation sequence and butterfly theming tied in with the theme of 'rebirth'.

The clip is slightly morbid, with the character falling over and "dying" in the transformation, but there's nothing too bloody or violent and she's ok in the end, don't worry (/▽＼)
